Seeing that September is the last online show for the year, how do you feel about doing a Christmas Swap?

I was thinking if everyone who wanted to participate made a small bear/critter, say between 7-9 inches it wouldn't be too expensive to post.

Let me know your thoughts! :)

I would love to join this swap.

I have been feeling a bit flat with the teddy making and I need a nudge.

Not sure why I have turned into a grey ghost, will attempt to remedy this.

Cheers Denise.

It would be lovely to be in the swap :D - but I'll wait to see if anyone is interested in swapping with 1) all the way to the UK and 2) a miniature bear maker who uses non-mohair ??? Sometimes it's hard to match a lot of people up ... and I don't want to "wobble the boat" as it were !

I was just thinking the same thing Ruth ('spose we can always swap, but its not quite the same) I may be persuaded to complete a giant of 6 to 7 inches if it made it easier, but there's still the posting to UK question though. It would be lovely to do a Christmas swap we will have to wait and see.

All TBACA and AFFILIATE members are is being invited to take part in this swap and providing the bear/critter is kept to a smallish size the postage won't cost a lot if it is sent Registered (signed for) post.

I really don't see a problem with the mini's at all.....perhaps the girls who may like to have a mini could email me. I wouldn't mind myself, as I already have bears from each of you. :)

Ruth and Gail, I'm sure most people here would be more than pleased to swap with you, just because they are small doesn't mean they aren't valued! I know that as much work goes into producing a miniature as a bigger bear, I know mine take a long time! As for the postage, well a little bear isn't going to be all that expensive to post as Sandi pointed out.:)

Sandi and Linda - you are so sweet :)

I just thought I better double check (especially as I don't use mohair ) Gail and I belonged to a swapping group some years ago where there was endless "matching up" to avoid disgruntled partners who insisted on like for like exchange !! I would be very honoured to swap with any of you ladies in the group  ... so do let Sandi know if minis in Upholstery Velvet are OK for you too :D

I would love to join in with the Christmas swap and size does not matter to me, all those tiny stitches would be very hard work.

Cheers Susan

Aww you are so kind Linda and Sandi.:)

The previous swapping did get a bit (mo)hairy :roll:at times to sort out.

Mostly it worked ,but you were never quite sure how things would be received, hence our hesitance, I think.

I would love to join in with the Christmas swap , so please count me in. I would be happy to swap with absolutely anybody on the list,if they would be happy to swap with me :).
